ARTicles Gallery presents CURIOUS EYE, a solo exhibition of works by John C. Monteiro. The opening reception takes place on August 8 from 5-7 pm, and the exhibit will remain on disply until August 29.

Mr. Monteiro is a St. Petersburg-based artist specializing in highly rendered pen & ink, scratchboard, gouache, and watercolor. From the age of 5, John has practiced his art. He studied at Boston's Massachusetts School of Art and Vesper George School of Art, and has exhibited around the country, most notably in New York, Boston, Cambridge, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and Miami. 



Curious Eye is an eclectic collection of works that represent many facets of Mr. Monteiro's mastery, from gouache to pen & ink to scratchboard and watercolor. The viewer will see his unique and intensely curious perspective in every piece, whether looking down a well, expressing physical effects of vibration, or capturing elements of the Hawaiian biosphere.
